Griffin Federation Visions
The Vision and Values of our school Holbeach St Marks
The Vision of our school
Our school vision is deeply rooted and underpinned by Mark 4, The Parable of the Sower. Mark 4 3:9
Rooted in faith, we nurture the seeds, in the hope that all can flourish.
Faith – to be the good soil through our faith in God
Hope – to be inclusive and aspiration for all.
Flourish – to be a community where all can flourish.
In the Parable of the Sower Mark taught us when the Farmer sowed his seed, some fell on the path and the birds ate them, some fell on the rocky and thorny soil and they didn’t grow well. Those planted on the good soil flourished. We are the good soil, we understand that sometimes we experience the rocks, birds and thorns, but we have faith in God that we are the ‘good soil’.
We feel that working in partnership with the whole community will lead towards a society of hope, where we raise aspirations for our school family and allow them to become the very best members of the community they can be. We will endeavour to ensure that Saint Mark’s lessons of compassion, forgiveness and justice are lived out by all.
Every member of our community is valued, and valuable, as they were created in the image of God. We will pursue excellence for all, including our most vulnerable, by providing the support and challenge they require to reach their full potential. We take inspiration here from St Mark’s winged Lion and provide the support to enable our most vulnerable to have the courage to flourish. We will do this in an inclusive environment, where the well-being of everyone is nurtured with dignity and compassion, so that any difficulties experienced can be overcome.

Gedney Drove End and Westmere Community Primary School
The Griffin Federation, of three schools, aims to be at the heart of the villages we serve. We feel that working in partnership with the whole community will lead towards a society of hope, where we raise aspirations for our school family and allow them to become the very best members of the community they can be. We will endeavour to ensure that the teachings of justice and forgiveness are lived out by all.
