Holbeach St Marks Primary School

Welcome to Holbeach St Marks Church of England Primary School

Our school community is a family.

Welcome to Holbeach St Marks Church of England Primary School. At the heart of our school is a strong Christian ethos which is reflected through school life. Our school is… ‘a nurturing and inclusive Christian family where the wellbeing of all is of great importance’ (SIAMS Inspection 2017). We offer fun, cross-curricular, personalised learning experiences through which we aim for all of our children to feel safe and happy in order for them to reach their full potential. ‘… Parents have an extremely positive view of the school. They believe that their children are well-looked after, safe and happy. Parents commented on the warm and safe environment and the family atmosphere that exists across the school (SIAMS Inspection 2017). We strive for all of our children to become independent learners, who rise to challenges, achieve success and are prepared for the future.

We value the whole school community of children, staff, parents, governors and friends; by working together we really can give our children the very best start in life. Parents are welcome to pop into the office to make an appointment if you wish to speak with a member of staff.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact us with any queries you may have.

Our Vision

The Griffin Federation, of three schools, aims to be at the heart of the villages we serve. We take our inspiration from Saint Mark, who through his gospel, spread the word of the teachings of Jesus.  In the parable of the seed, Mark teaches us about having faith in God and the hope and encouragement that we need to flourish.

We feel that working in partnership with the whole community will lead towards a society of hope, where we raise aspirations for our school family and allow them to become the very best members of the community they can be. We will endeavour to ensure that Saint Mark’s lessons of compassion, forgiveness and justice are lived out by all.

Every member of our community is valued, and valuable, as they were created in the image of God. We will pursue excellence for all, including our most vulnerable, by providing the support and challenge they require to reach their full potential. We take inspiration here from St Mark’s winged Lion and provide the support to enable our most vulnerable to have the courage to flourish.  We will do this in an inclusive environment, where the well-being of everyone is nurtured with dignity and compassion, so that any difficulties experienced can be overcome.
